GoodEarth Distribution announced the completion of a deal to accumulate ReStockIt.com, a web-based distributor of office, restaurant, cleansing and industrial supplies and furniture. The transition marks the second time that ReStockIt.com has modified ownership.
GoodEarth acquired ReStockIt.com from Acme Paper & Supply Inc. for an undisclosed sum.
Why GoodEarth is acquiring ReStockit.com
“ReStockIt.com’s storied history within the industry, a robust culture of product and repair innovation, in addition to efficient operations and intense customer focus, make it a complementary addition to the GoodEarth platform,” says GoodEarth chairman Stewart Mandler.
With the acquisition, the GoodEarth platform will offer clients online ordering and procurement management and fast delivery of greater than 100,000 business supply products from multiple distribution centers, the corporate says.
History of ReStockit.com ownership prior to GoodEarth
ReStockIt.com was first acquired by Acme Paper & Supply Co. — a Baltimore wholesaler of packaging, supplies, and equipment for janitorial, food services, manufacturing, and retail organizations — in February 2013.
Because it transitions to GoodEarth, ReStockIt.com stocks greater than 200,000 products from greater than 2,350 manufacturers, in the first categories of restaurant supplies, cleansing and janitorial supplies, office supplies, industrial packaging and custom-designed packaging.
