“Deal or No Deal Island” has been renewed for Season 2 at NBC.

The news comes just below per week ahead of the Season 1 finale, which is able to air on May 13. Hosted by Joe Manganiello, the series is averaging 5.8 million total viewers across all platforms, per NBC, and ranks as the highest NBC unscripted series on Peacock.

“With expert gameplay, adventure and a brand new layer of strategy, the reimagined ‘Deal or No Deal Island’ had fans on the sting of their seats, similar to the unique,” said Corie Henson, executive vice chairman of unscripted content at NBCUniversal. “An enormous because of our crew and the most important gamer of all of them, host Joe Manganiello. Together we’re thrilled to be back with one other season that can you’ll want to test the contestants and the Banker’s limits.”

Within the series, players compete in challenges to secure the long-lasting “Deal or No Deal” briefcases hidden across the island. In each episode, the player that secures the highest-value briefcase gains immunity and sends one other player to “The Temple.” If that player makes a cope with the Banker for lower than the worth of their briefcase, they’re eliminated. In the event that they make deal, they stay in the sport and choose whom needs to be eliminated. The winnings from each game are added to a communal pot, with the last player at the top of the season potentially winning all of it.

“It was incredible to see how audiences immediately took to the brand new format of ‘Deal or No Deal Island,’ welcoming Joe Manganiello and the Banker’s guests into their homes and bringing recent life to the long-lasting IP,” said Sharon Levy, chief executive officer of Endemol Shine North America. “We’re thrilled that NBC has picked up a second cycle and eagerly anticipate seeing how the Banker will physically test and mentally challenge a brand new season of contestants as they compete for a transformative jackpot.”

The series is produced by Endemol Shine North America and is a reimagined version of the Banijay “Deal or No Deal” format. Manganiello executive produces the series, as does Howie Mandel, host of the unique American version of “Deal or No Deal.” Matt Kunitz, Vittoria Cacciatore, and Jeffrey Breeden also executive produce together with Endemol Shine North America’s Sharon Levy, Michael Heyerman and Sean Loughlin.
