Sony is reportedly readying an official announcement for the PC release of God of War Ragnarök which might be revealed before the top of the month. God of War Ragnarök launched on PlayStation in November 2022 and saw Santa Monica Studio’s sequel turn out to be the console’s fastest-selling title in history with over 5 million copies sold in its first week of release. By the point of its first anniversary, it managed to top over 15 million copies sold. VGC called it top-of-the-line PlayStation games ever in its review and IGN gave it a ten out of 10 in its review.
Per VGC:
“With fascinating performances that carry an incredible story to a jaw-dropping final act, it’s a game that achieves every part it sets out to do to absolutely the highest standard.”
Per IGN:
“God of War Ragnarok is an almighty achievement and creates a brand new high that makes lots of its peers look mortal by comparison.”
There are lots of other reviews hailing the sport as a masterpiece as well so it’s comprehensible why PC owners are anxiously awaiting official news for its debut on PC. Known leaker Billbil-kun of Dealabs Magazine is claiming that Sony plans to make a proper announcement very soon.

Additional speculation of when the announcement could occur comes via one other rumor from Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb who said last month that Sony was planning one, or possibly, two events this month. It seems plausible that Sony might be planning something because it held a PlayStation Showcase event last May where it unveiled at least 30 games, including Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
“I even have heard that there might be a PlayStation something, either a State of Play or a Showcase, next month, in May, so this might be going to be there,” said Grubb in regard to a possible Silent Hill 2 Remake appearance.
