Take-Two has confirmed in its latest earnings report that Grand Theft Auto VI will probably be released roughly a 12 months and a half from now in the autumn of 2025. Rumors a couple of potential release date for the sport have continued to pop up since its first official trailer was released at the top of 2023. At one point there was a rumor that fans of the franchise might see the following game in Q1 2025 but then recently a report from Kotaku indicated other possible dates. It said that while the goal date was still early 2025 it may be pushed back to early spring and now according the T2’s earnings report, Grand Theft Auto VI goes to launch in fall 2025.

Per Take-Two:
“With Fiscal 2025 underway, our portfolio is gaining momentum and now we have many exciting releases planned for the 12 months. We expect Net Bookings to be within the range of $5.55 to $5.65 billion, representing 5% year-over-year growth. Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI. We’re highly confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations for the industrial impact of the title proceed to extend. As we release our groundbreaking pipeline, we expect to attain tremendous growth, including sequential increases in Net Bookings in Fiscal 2025, 2026, and 2027.”

“Looking ahead, and as Strauss mentioned earlier, now we have narrowed the previously established release window for Grand Theft Auto VI to Fall of Calendar 2025 from Calendar 2025. As development advances, our confidence within the title and its potential industrial impact proceed to grow. That said, we aren’t providing specific guidance beyond Fiscal 2025, as our release schedule includes quite a few titles every year and even modest shifts can have a big effect on leads to any given period. Our outlook for the lifetime value of our pipeline stays as strong as ever and we expect sequential growth in Net Bookings in Fiscal 2025, 2026, and 2027.”
Fall 2025, or later?
Anticipation and expectations for the sport are high. Grand Theft Auto V has managed to set or break nearly every record there may be for a video game. Development teams for GTA VI are sure to be feeling the pressure of crunch time with a view to meet deadlines which also brings up one other rumor. It was also reported recently that there may very well be pushback from staff following Rockstar’s return-to-office mandates that went into effect last month. Some speculated that Rockstar won’t find a way to launch in 2025 in any respect and the sport could find yourself being pushed further back to 2026.
