The long-awaited Akuma is finally a part of the Street Fighter 6 roster, joining the sport today as the ultimate Yr 1 DLC character. Unfortunately, you’ll only have access to Akuma for those who purchased the Yr 1 Character Pass, which also includes Rashid, A.K.I., and Ed. Akuma could be found across all three game modes, allowing players to fight and train with him in Fighting Ground, visit him in his natural habitat in World Tour, and equip their avatar together with his demonic move set in Battle Hub.
Along with Akuma’s arrival, Street Fighter 6 also gets two recent Battle Hub experiences, 4 recent Outfit 3 designs, and an assortment of battle balance updates for all existing characters. One in all the brand new Battle Hub experiences is a raid event called Giant Attack, where all players in each Battle Hub server fight a larger-than-life Akuma. Players can even test their skills against SiRN Akuma at special Battle Hub cabinets to earn exclusive rewards for defeating him.
One other addition to the sport is that each one 22 characters now have a brand new Recovery Drive Reversal move, which could be performed while getting up from a knockdown. Combined with this long list of battle changes, you may expect plenty of latest strategies to emerge in the approaching weeks.
Now that Yr 1 of Street Fighter 6 has ended, it is going to be interesting to see what Capcom has in store for Yr 2.
