The flashy and trendy Stellar Blade is getting yet one more major update. The patch that’s going live today adds a brand new Boss Challenge mode, latest nano suits, and a few quality-of-life improvements. As its name suggests, Boss Challenge mode lets players tackle the 19 bosses from the bottom game, so long as they’ve already been defeated. Players even have the choice to fight the bosses on Hard difficulty, but only after completing the sport.
Boss Challenge mode allows players to load their very own gear settings or pick from several presets. Those in search of a real challenge can use a minimum preset, while those seeking to capture flashy video footage or practice can go for the utmost preset. Once the chosen boss is defeated, battle data is analyzed, and a results screen with metrics is shared. Data includes the variety of perfect parries and dodges, items used, and more.
Players who manage to beat all of the bosses in Boss Challenge on Normal difficulty or higher will probably be rewarded with the Neurolink Suit for Eve. As well as, two latest Nano Suits have been added: White Kunoichi and Black Kunoichi.
Although there are only two quality-of-life improvements, each address frustrations I had with the sport. The primary improvement is that the sport will now not drop goal in case you switch to ranged attack mode and back while locked onto an enemy. The second improvement is the choice to at all times show the compass within the HUD.
Stellar Blade developer, Shift Up, has done a formidable job supporting the sport since its release in late April. In my Stellar Blade review, I praised the sport for its precise combat, well-designed bosses, and excellent performance. The story left a bit to be desired, but I’m looking forward to Shift Up’s next project.
