With so many things to see and do now that she is adjusting to her on a regular basis life, Gypsy Rose Blanchard says that getting her driver’s license is at the highest of her bucket list.

“I’m actively working on attempting to get my driver’s license,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “I took one driver’s ed class, after which I didn’t return because I used to be too overwhelmed. There was so much to learn. I’m like, I don’t even know the anatomy of a automobile, and also you’re giving me the breakdown of what to not do. “So I feel that showing people and taking them on that journey with me was necessary for me since you get little bits and pieces of what my life has been like within the last five months from articles online, TikTok videos, social media, little bits here and there,” she explained. “But nobody gets to truly be within the room with me aside from my family.”

The ex-convict added why she decided to have Lifetime tell her story post-prison.

“Having the cameras follow me principally each day shows the events that individuals were hearing about all this time, but they don’t know what all was said. This definitely brings the viewers along in a really intimate way,” she said of the project. “And for me that was necessary to indicate, no, that is who I’m.”

“It was very necessary to me [to do the second docuseries] because once we were working on ‘Prison Confessions,’ I had been so open and honest and raw about what prison life was like for me,” she further explained. “And so I used to be sitting in my jail cell at the tip of December, and I used to be like, I’m so bored with all these prison labels and all these labels that individuals placed on me, and I need to indicate that I’m greater than that.”

“Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up” will air on Lifetime on June 3.
