Beyond Good & Evil is getting a twentieth Anniversary Edition, launching on June 25 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. The sport may even be available on Amazon Luna, GeForce Now, and is included on day one with a Ubisoft+ Premium subscription. This version of the sport includes updated visuals at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, improved controls, and various quality-of-life features. There’s also a brand new in-game treasure hunt and Speedrun Mode, and a special anniversary gallery. Limited Run Games may even offer a physical edition and Collector’s Edition, with preorders going continue to exist July 12.

For those unfamiliar with Beyond Good & Evil, it tells the story of Jade and her adoptive uncle Pey’j as they explore a watery planet called Hillys. It borrows gameplay elements from a wide range of genres and, over time, has turn out to be a cult classic. A sequel was announced in 2018, but since then, Ubisoft has revealed little or no about it. The corporate is hinting that it’s still coming, as the brand new treasure hunt feature within the twentieth Anniversary Edition offers cosmetic rewards that tie into Jade’s past and the pirates of Beyond Good and Evil 2. Lastly, a number of the quality-of-life features within the twentieth Anniversary Edition include autosaving, cross-saves, remapped controls, and the flexibility to skip cutscenes.
