Jennifer Lopez has once more proven her unstoppable drive within the entertainment industry. The actress has landed an exciting recent project with Netflix amid rumors of her marital woes with Ben Affleck.

It comes after reports suggest that her other projects, like “The Best Love Story Never Told,” caused a hitch in her marriage, as Affleck didn’t like their personal lives being aired for all to see.

In keeping with Deadline, the “Jenny From The Block” singer has landed a brand new series with the streaming giant as rumors about an “imminent” split from husband Ben Affleck proceed to swirl.

Lopez secured the brand new deal through her company, Nuyorican, to adapt Emily Henry’s novel, “Joyful Place.”

The news outlet reports that plans to adapt the novel “as a series are underway” because the producers and streaming executives at the moment are meeting with writers.

The novel tells the story of faculty sweethearts Harriet and Wyn, who dated but broke up shortly after without telling their friends. Five months after breaking up, they’re forced to share a bedroom on the Maine Cottage, where they’d normally gathered for an annual getaway with friends for the past ten years. Series producers shall be Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, and Benny Medina.

Lopez’s recent Netflix project comes after it was announced that her tour was canceled on the last day of May via an announcement from Live Nation.

The singer also apologized to her fans in a newsletter, OntheJLo, and explained that the cancelation couldn’t have been avoided.

“I’m completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I would not do that if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely obligatory,” the 54-year-old penned to her fans, per People magazine.

Lopez’s recent project comes amid her European vacation. She’s understood to be having fun with her time away since it has afforded her some space from Affleck as rumors about their troubled relationship proceed to surface.

A source who spoke to Entertainment Tonight said the “Let’s Get Loud” singer needed a change of environment from what she’d been going through and opted for a European getaway.

“Jen loves vacationing in Europe in the course of the summer. It has been nice for her to experience a change of pace and have some respiratory room,” the source shared. “She has been having a blast along with her friends. They like to go to fun dinners, have late nights, lay out within the sun, dress up, dance, and shop.”

Lopez is reportedly done attempting to salvage her troubled marriage to the “Argo” actor, as a source shared that she is “over” it.

The insider noted that she has now realized that she will’t do any “more” to save lots of her relationship with Affleck, adding that the important reason for his or her split was because Affleck was all the time “grumpy and negative,” per the Every day Mail.
