Darren Till’s shock boxing debut announced on the Abdu Rozik undercard following Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson event postponement

Former UFC title challenger Darren Till finally has a date again for his boxing debut, following the postponement of the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson boxing event.

Darren Till, who challenged for the UFC welterweight title back in 2018, was scheduled to make his anticipated boxing debut against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson.

Following the postponement of that event, ‘The Gorilla’s’ fight against Chavez Jr was scrapped, leaving Till with out a date for his first boxing outing.

Till last competed in MMA at UFC 282, two years ago, losing in round three to current middleweight champion, Dricus Du Plessis.

Darren Till’s boxing debut shockingly set on the Abdu Rozik undercard this Saturday

Despite that, it was announced this Monday morning that the 31-year-old will make his boxing debut this coming weekend on July 6, against Moh Mutie, on the undercard of Abdu Rozik vs Erali Boyqobilov, which takes place on the Coca-Cola Arena, in Dubai.

Abdu Rozik, most well-known for his web feud with fellow social media star, Hasbulla, will likely be making his own boxing debut within the foremost event of Social Knockout 3, this coming Saturday.

Till’s opponent, Moh Mutie, has competed professionally in MMA for UAE Warriors and MEFC and holds knowledgeable MMA record of 2-2-1.

Mutie, nicknamed ‘The Palestinian Gorilla’, stated with the announcement: “It’s time to smash, I’m the true gorilla see you guys July 6 I’ll show you who’s the true gorilla.”

The Liverpudlian would’ve likely been hoping for a more notable opponent for his boxing debut, nonetheless, it has been two years since he last competed in combat sports and he has been campaigning for a fight against Jake Paul.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr to compete on the Jake Paul vs Mike Perry undercard

Cesar Chavez Jr got the higher rub of the green as he’s scheduled to tackle fellow former UFC fighter, Uriah Hall, on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Mike Perry on July 20.

“Excited to get back to competing and difficult myself against a widely known boxer and former world champion,” Hall commented once his fight was announced.

Following his exit from the UFC in 2022, ‘Prime Time’ Hall made his boxing debut on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva, taking over former NFL player, Le’Veon Bell and picking up the unanimous decision win.

Till has been locked into feuds with each Paul and Perry, nonetheless, for some reason neither fight has ever come to fruition.

Just a few weeks ago, before ‘The Problem Child’s’ fight against ‘Platinum’ Perry was booked, the Scouser posted a graphic on his social media of ‘Paul vs Till’, campaigning for that fight to be made.

If the 31-year-old successfully wins his boxing debut this coming Saturday, he’ll likely proceed to campaign for a fight against the web sensation turned boxer, depending on the end result of his fight against Perry.
