In one in all the closest finishes in Final Fantasy XIV raiding history, AAC Light-Heavyweight Tier (Savage) has been cleared by multiple teams, each on-stream and off-stream. It took lower than 10 hours for the tier to be cleared, with Grind and Serenity leading the way in which, although each of those were off-stream. The 2 teams that finished on-stream did it inside seconds of each other, with Lucrezia besting Echo. Considering the rise in difficulty of Normal content in Dawntrail, it’s surprising that this was the quickest Savage raid clear yet—Shadowbringers’ Eden’s Gate took 13 hours and 50 minutes.
Congratulations to all of the teams competing, and we’re excited to see how the Final Fantasy XIV raiding community grows now that greater teams, reminiscent of Echo, are streaming their progress. Hopefully, at some point, the World’s First clear will occur on-stream and the Final Fantasy XIV raiding community might be taken more seriously.
Edit: It appears Grind finished ahead of Serenity, so we’ve updated the article to reflect the change so as.
