“After 4 years of wonderful marriage, we’ve mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are various speculative narratives as to why, but truly, this can be a united decision, and we sincerely hope that everybody can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our youngsters.“

The “Sucker” singer then filed a notice of continued settlement negotiations, including 4 days of mediation in October and one other 4 days in December, where they agreed to pursue an amicable resolution.

Nevertheless, while this mediation process to barter property and child custody arrangements was ongoing, the court required the couple to file an extra pleading in May inside 30 days to stop dismissal of their case for lack of prosecution.
