Disney Entertainment Television is streamlining its casting operations amongst multiple departments under the leadership of Sharon Klein.
Disney’s recent casting hierarchy structure maintains a dedicated leader for Disney Branded Television in Brenda Kelly-Grant. Stephanie Levinson will remain head of casting for the twentieth Television studio and add ABC Signature to her purview. Felicia Joseph will maintain oversight of ABC and add Hulu and Onyx to her portfolio.
Barbara Fiorentino, formerly head of casting for Hulu, will tackle responsibilities for identifying global talent for a big selection of projects.
The shifts and consolidation that Disney has implemented in casting are similiar to changes made in production and programming across the Mouse House’s many TV units.
Klein has long been a significant player in casting for Disney and before that at twentieth Century Fox. She was promoted to oversee all such activity for Disney TV last 12 months as executive VP of casting for Walt Disney TV.
Disney will reveal its second quarter earnings early Wednesday.
