Jake Paul continued his run of beating MMA fighters this past weekend when he defeated former UFC welterweight Mike Perry, but UFC legend and rival of Paul, Michael Bisping, wasn’t impressed.
‘The Problem Child’ once more showcased that years of dedicating himself to the game of boxing has somewhat paid off, as he picked up his tenth skilled win, ending former UFC fighter, Mike Perry, in round six.
Although ‘Platinum’ Perry was probably the hardest MMA fighter Jake Paul has handpicked to date, he had only competed in boxing once prior, and that got here in 2015 when he was also beaten.
Michael Bisping slams Jake Paul’s ‘reckless’ performance against Perry
Prior to Paul’s fight this past Saturday, Michael Bisping grew furious on the 27-year-old’s decision to proceed handpicking undersized MMA fighters as his boxing opponents. A lot so, that he even admitted that he’s considering coming out of retirement to fight the Web sensation himself.
Despite ‘The Problem Child’ picking up the sixth round TKO, Bisping was nowhere near impressed with the 27-year-old’s performance as he labeled it ‘reckless’.
“That was a farce. That was ridiculous, that fight should never even have taken place in the primary place since it was a sh**show,” Bisping began to clarify in a video on his YouTube channel.
“Technically it wasn’t a superb fight. Technically it wasn’t a superb performance. Technically loads of other boxers on the market are going to be that and sort of laughing.
“Any person the identical size, the identical construct with the identical strength and power of the identical experience would’ve had a field day with (Jake Paul). He was all over, his feet were crossing all over, he was swinging wild, it was reckless,” the UFC legend continued.
Bisping wasn’t the one UFC star to criticize Paul’s performance, as ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor also chimed in and gave his thoughts on the 27-year-old.
Bisping reacts to Jake Paul’s callout of Alex Pereira
Bizarrely, following his win over ‘Platinum’ Perry, Paul called out the present UFC light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira.
Again, though, it’s one other of the 27-year-old’s farcical callouts that likely can’t come to fruition, considering ‘Poatan’s’ position with the UFC.
“The sh**show continues,” Bisping said. “Jake Paul says he desires to challenge himself, he desires to fight one of the best fighters on the planet, so he calls out Alex Pereira who he knows rattling well that fight won’t ever materialize, so in fact he’s gonna call him out.”
The UFC commentator went on to leaf through the present cruiserweight boxing rankings, claiming that anyone in the highest 10 would deal him a ‘devastating knockout’.
“Anyone in that top 10 would smoke him, they might deal him a devastating knockout, they might land crushing blows and he can be sh***** his pants in there and that’s why I still don’t have respect since it was pure bully boy tactics,” Bisping stated.
Paul is unlikely to face a cruiserweight boxer next as he continues to call the name, Mike Tyson, as their originally scheduled fight was postponed.
