From the team behind three consecutive #1 automobile games comes Auto Legends, backed by $8 million in funding from Horacio Pagani, Miller Motorcars, Niccolo De Masi, former CEO of Glu Mobile, and others. Developed by Autoverse Studios Inc., Auto Legends focuses on high-stakes competitive drag racing, with an emphasis on social play, real asset ownership, thrilling tournaments, team competition, virtual and real-life prizes, and nearly countless automobile customization and tuning. Currently in closed alpha, the sport will make its public debut at gamescom, which officially begins on August 21, 2024.

Auto Legends will eventually be available on Android, iOS, and PC and can support a real player economy with the combination of web3 mechanics. This implies players can master performance tuning, own automobile dealerships, and manage race crews, all while monetizing their in-game activities. The initial play environment will probably be set in Southern California, featuring familiar sights for locals. Just like real-life automobile culture, players could have the chance to change into true Auto Legends in what they enjoy most, whether it’s racing, tuning, customizing, constructing teams, automobile collecting, or more.

The team consists of industry veterans from Cie Games, Glu Mobile, Riot Games, Xbox, EA, Ubisoft, and Scopely. Previous automobile games from the team include Nitto 1320 Legends, Automobile Town, and Racing Rivals. The three games collectively reached 140 million players and were top auto games on their respective platforms.

“Once we began Autoverse Studios, we desired to not only evolve the straight-line racing category, but in addition revolutionize the games industry as an entire with latest social gameplay mechanics, creator support, and enabling players to own and trade their in-game assets,” said Peter Pham, Autoverse Studios CEO. “Players love creating their very own parts, trading cars, providing services to one another, hosting tournaments – and we’re putting all of that officially into the sport. We’re using web3 technology to do that in a way that’s entirely invisible to players.”

Those interested can register for the beta at the sport’s website and join the discussion on the Auto Legends Discord community.
