“Ted Lasso” is heading towards a Season 4 greenlight, Variety has confirmed.

Talk of a “Ted Lasso” revival has been within the air because the show ended its run. Back in January, Warner Bros. TV CEO Channing Dungey teased to Variety the opportunity of the series continuing after its Season 3 finale, which aired last yr.
“I mean, you watched the finale, there’s a bit little bit of a door that could possibly be kicked back open if need be,” Dungey said. “I wouldn’t put the period on the tip of that sentence just yet. There continues to be quite a lot of love for ‘Ted Lasso.’ And I feel that there still is quite a lot of enthusiasm on the a part of Apple for ‘Ted Lasso.’ Should the chance arise, we’d be excited to leap back in to creating more…. There are at all times conversations which are ongoing, just nothing that’s official.”
“Ted Lasso” follows Sudeikis as its title character, a small-time college football coach from Kansas hired to educate knowledgeable soccer team in England, despite having no experience coaching soccer. Waddingham, Goldstein, Swift, Brendan Hunt, Juno Temple and Phil Dunster also star.
The series was developed by Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Hunt and Joe Kelly, and relies on the pre-existing format and characters from NBC Sports.
Deadline was first to report the “Ted Lasso” news.
