Netflix has revealed a trailer for its hit Korean mystery series “Gyeongseong Creature” ahead of the upload of its second season on Sept. 27.

The primary season was set in 1945, in the course of the Japanese occupation of Seoul, then generally known as Gyeongseong. The Imperial Army’s biological experiments on human weren’t only cruel, they unleashed a monster creature.

The second season jumps to present day Seoul and follows Chae-ok (portrayed by Han So-hee) who encounters Ho-jae (Park Search engine marketing-jun), who bears an uncanny resemblance to the person she once knew in 1945.

The opposite, portrayed by Lee Mu-saeng (“The Glory,” “The Silent Sea”) is a personality who crafts a sinister plan within the labs of Jeonseung Biotech to recreate the experiments from 1945.

The show is directed by Chung Dong-yoon from a script by Kang Eun-kyung. Production is by Story&Pictures Media, a part of Kakao Entertainment and co-produced by CJ ENM’s Studio Dragon.

The primary season was released at the top of 2023 and spent 4 weeks within the streamer’s global top ten TV (non-English) list and reached the highest ten national lists in 69 countries.
