Concord, the brand new 5v5 character-driven, first-person multiplayer shooter set in what was speculated to be a brand new and thriving galaxy for PS5 and PC players, is being taken offline on September 6, 2024 so its developer, Firewalk Studios, can “explore options, including people who will higher reach our players,” game director Ryan Ellis has announced. Ellis, who shared the news in a message to players on the official PlayStation blog today, mentioned that refunds shall be issued to players, including people who purchased the sport from Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Ellis on the refund process:
- “Steam Store – Steam Store will refund players who bought the sport over the approaching days. Steam will send confirmation of the refund once it has been processed.”
- “Epic Games Store – Epic Games Store will refund players who bought the sport over the approaching days and can contact each customer directly to substantiate that the refund has been processed.”
- “Other retailer refunds – For purchasers who’ve purchased a physical copy at a retailer location outside of PlayStation directly, please confer with the refund strategy of the retailer you bought it from to acquire your refund.”
- “Once refunded, players will not have access to the sport.”

Ellis previously said of Concord:
We built Concord as a love-letter to aspirational sci-fi adventure, inspired by our favourite art, anime, movies, and TV series. Combined with our deep love of multiplayer, we’re dedicated to creating those had-to-be-there, right down to the wire moments with your pals and making a sense of adventure as you discover more in regards to the galaxy, the characters you play as, and the worlds you visit each time you go surfing.
