The rapper recently linked up with a lady who participated within the ‘Brokey’ challenge with a few of her co-workers. Ultimately, the girl believed to be named Yadira Ramirez, went viral after claiming the breakfast restaurant fired her for the challenge video.

For context, on Sept. 15, Latto took to X ( formerly Twitter) and challenged her fans to create videos for her song ‘Brokey,’ which debuted on her latest album, ‘Sugar Honey Iced Tea.’ The challenge was Latto’s response to people criticizing the financial privileges she bragged about within the lyrics.
“I hate that y’all think I used to be calling hard employees brokeys. So I got $10k for whoever make one of the best video at they job to brokey & I’ll fly u out to be within the music video…no mo waiting til ur bday to go outta town. Tag me & hashtag #Brokey so I can see all of them.”
Lower than every week ago, Yadira shared a 27-second video of greater than five Waffle House employees, including herself, participating in Latto’s challenge. In six days, the clip collected greater than 23.4 million views, over 3.7 million likes, and nearly 19,000 comments. Its creativity really spoke to TikTok users, from the ‘Brokey’ receipt to the staff using signature WH foods, like waffles, as video props.
Yadira makes her only appearance within the video 16 seconds in to mouth the lyrics, “Yeah, I talk plenty of sh*t. He like who you’re thinking that you is…” Then, the video cuts to a different worker.

Two days after Yadira shared the Waffle House ‘Brokey’ challenge on TikTok, she returned to the platform with an update. In 42 seconds, she explained that the corporate fired her “a day” after the ‘Brokey’ challenge went live.
” A day after posting one video that literally harms no one. That everyone was actually, literally rooting for and joyful about. But whatever, it’s my decision, it’s my move…” Yadira said, also claiming that Waffle House put her on a “no-rehire” list.
Ramirez also stated that she worked on the restaurant for six years from the ages of 16-22. “All of the bullsh*t I handled, thanks,” she added.

In a follow-up video, Yadira Ramirez clarified that she was the one one that appeared within the challenge who got fired. Moreover, she revealed that two managers were on-site when the staff filmed the ‘Brokey’ challenge, but they selected to not participate. Moreover, she stated that the corporate policy doesn’t forbid phones, just trash-talking the corporate.
