METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER, a remake of Hideo Kojima’s 2004 action-adventure stealth game that features several improvements over its original PS2 counterpart, including a serious overhaul in graphics courtesy of Unreal Engine 5, is unlikely to be the last Metal Gear game to reach on PC, in accordance with latest remarks that Yuji Korekado, Metal Gear series producer, shared this week in an interview with Japan’s Famitsu Magazine. Korekado, who’s credited in several Metal Gear games, including MGS V: THE PHANTOM PAIN (producer) and MGS: MASTER COLLECTION VERSION (content supervisor), told readers that his mission is to bring every game to PC, opening up the potential of MGS4 and other long-requested Metal Gear titles on Windows platforms. Korekado was joined by producer Noriaki Okamura, who noted that while a remake of MGS or MGS2 could also occur, those would require more work than what METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER—a brand new trailer for which may be found below—demanded from the team.
Noriaki Okamura (producer): I believe we must always take into consideration [remakes] after we finish making this work. For instance, if we were to remake the unique Metal Gear Solid or Metal Gear 1 and a pair of, there could be some parts that might not work with the identical methodology as MGSΔ, including redesigning the extent design. That may mean we might should make more parts anew. So, are we allowed to make the subsequent Metal Gear series, and the way far should we go? We would like everyone to play MGSΔ, get their opinions, after which move on. There at the moment are only a few staff members who worked with the unique staff on the time. Before anyone involved is gone, we want to create a path to preserve the Metal Gear series for 10 or 50 years into the long run. I believe that is something we now have to do.
Yuji Korekado (producer): We imagine that making all of our titles playable on PC will maximize the possibilities that they shall be enjoyed for 10 or 20 years to return, so our mission is to make that occur.
