Diddy‘s mom, Janice Combs, has issued her first statement about his legal woes. Janice is breaking her silence amid her son’s piling lawsuits, which began with ex-girlfriend Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura suing him in Nov. 2023. Meanwhile, Sean Combs continues to be sitting behind bars in Brooklyn, Latest York City, on felony charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to interact in prostitution.

Janice Combs Speaks On Diddy Settling With Cassie
Janice gave her statement to Local 10 News on Sunday (Oct. 6) via Attorney Natlie Figgers. She shared strong words about how the general public has seemingly crucified the producer ahead of his trial.
“I come to you today as one other that’s devastated and profoundly saddened by the allegations made against my son, Sean Combs. It’s heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the reality, but for a narrative created out of lies. To bear witness to what looks like a public lynching of my son before he has had the chance to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to place into words. Like every human being, my son deserves to have his day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence.
As her statement continued, Janice Combs said Sean is just not perfect. The mother acknowledged that Diddy lied about domestic violence, specifically, his assault on Cassie in 2016 in a hotel hallway. Earlier this 12 months, CNN released never-before-seen footage of the producer kicking, slamming, and throwing a glass vase at his singer ex.
“Sometimes, the reality and a lie develop into so closely intertwined that it becomes terrifying to confess one a part of the story, especially when that truth is outside the norm or is simply too complicated to be believed,” Janice said. Adding that, she believed he settled with Cassie for those reasons and that the settlement is what has caused a domino effect to today’s events.
Mom Says Her Famous Son Is Not A Monster
As previously reported, Diddy has been locked up since Sept. 16. Two Manhattan judges have already denied him bail. On Monday (Sept. 29), Diddy’s legal team reportedly submitted a notice of appeal to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals within the Southern District of Latest York, per USA TODAY. This can be his third time in search of to be on house arrest until the commitment of his trial. Sean has pleaded not guilty on all charges.

In her statement, Janice Combs also asserted that nobody is immune from “fear or mistakes.” She again said that Diddy’s failure to reveal the domestic violence doesn’t mechanically mean he’s guilty of the allegations in his indictment or lively lawsuits.
“Watching the world make jokes and laugh at my son’s life crumbling before our eyes is something I can always remember. It is actually agonizing to look at the world turn against my son so quickly and simply over lies and misconceptions without ever hearing his side or affording him the chance to present his side.”
Moreover, Diddy’s mom suggested that Cassie’s lawsuit’s quick settlement brought out folks on the lookout for a “payday.” “This injustice has been unbearable for our family,” she wrote.
“My son is just not the monster they’ve painted him to be, and he deserves the prospect to inform his side. I can only pray that I’m alive to see him speak his truth and be vindicated,” Mama Combs wrote.
