BioWare’s Dragon Age: The Veilguard is launching on October 31, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. Pacific (12:00 p.m. Eastern), and the developer has shared the sport’s PC requirements. Preloading is already available for Xbox Series X|S owners, while PlayStation 5 owners may have to attend until October 29 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific (12:00 p.m. Eastern). For the reason that game won’t include any third-party DRM on any platform, there isn’t a preloading for PC, which implies it would be downloadable and playable at launch time.
The sport was designed with flexibility in mind, and for PC users, meaning minimum requirements of an i5-8400 or Ryzen 3 3300X with an NVIDIA GTX 970 / GTX 1650 or an AMD Radeon R9 290X. Dragon Age: The Veilguard would require 100 GB of open storage, and while an SSD isn’t required, you’ll be playing at minimum performance without one. The sport is Steam Deck Verified. BioWare has separated the PC requirements into two categories, one with Ray Tracing off and one with Ray Tracing on. You’ll be able to see those below.
BioWare Studio Technical Director, Maciej Kurowski, also confirmed Dragon Age: The Veilguard shall be enhanced for PlayStation 5 Pro, with each Fidelity and Performance modes seeing improvements, including higher resolution in 30fps Fidelity and 60fps Performance modes. The PlayStation 5 Pro also enables Raytraced Ambient Occlusion (RTAO) within the 60fps Performance mode, a feature available on the bottom PlayStation 5 only within the 30fps Fidelity mode.
