A 66-year-old woman on a Royal Caribbean Taylor Swift-themed cruise has fallen overboard.
A representative for the U.S. Coast Guard told Us Weekly on Wednesday, October 23, that the lady fell from the Allure of the Seas ship. The ship was positioned about 17 miles north of Nassau when the lady fell at about 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22.
The Coast Guard is assisting the Royal Bahamas Defense Force, who’s the lead agency, in an effort to locate the missing woman. The Coast Guard told Us that it had diverted an HC-144 airplane crew and a MH-65 Dolphin Helicopter from Air Station Miami to help the search.
A spokesperson for Royal Caribbean told Us that the cruise is working with local authorities to seek out the lady. “We’re also providing support and assistance to the guest’s family during this difficult time,” the statement read. “To respect the privacy of our guest’s family, we’ve got no additional details to share.”

The “In my cruise era” trip will not be affiliated with Swift, 34. It will not be clear whether the passenger who went overboard was with the Swift fan party.
The Swift-themed cruise was organized by travel agents Jessica Malerman, Nicole Rivera, and Shelby Reyes. The three agents worked alongside the Royal Caribbean to host private events centered across the Eras Tour performer, including friendship bracelet swapping, a dance party, trivia on the pop star and karaoke.
The website noted that each one 199 staterooms were booked and the waitlist was closed for this trip. The cruise fare included “stateroom accommodations, dinner within the primary dining room nightly in addition to additional buffet and a la carte options across the ship. World class entertainment, including large scale stage shows and more intimate activities, game shows, and karaoke.”
“The cruise fare also includes special themed activities available on this sailing only,” the web site read. “Details can be released soon, but you possibly can expect Taylor inspired theme nights and activities like Taylor karaoke, trivia, scavenger hunts, door decorating contests and more!”
In an FAQ section, one query asked who the cruise was geared toward, and the web site indicated, “Everyone!” The statement read, “This cruise is for all Fans of Taylor, so bring your besties, your mamas and dads, your baby fans, and should you need someone to room with, post on our Facebook page and ask!”
