Dil Chahta Hai is one in every of the long-lasting movies of Bollywood with an evergreen story about friendship and love. Within the film, Akshaye Khanna’s character falls in love with an older woman, played by Dimple Kapadia. Now, the actress revealed in a recent interview that it was Akshaye who convinced her to do the film.
She said, “Akshaye Khanna called me up. He was such a sweetheart. He said, ‘Please, please, do it for me.’ And yeah, I said, in fact. And thank God I did it because working with Zoya and dealing with that team was completely…I believe by this time, it was a special sort of generation I used to be working with. So, it was very, very rewarding and it helped me rather a lot there.”
The film stars Aamir Kham, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni and Dimple Kapadia amongst others. Talking of Dimple, the actress was last seen within the movies Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Murder Mubarak.
