Bam Rodriguez is widely viewed as considered one of the best pound for pound boxers on this planet today. In his last fight back in June, Bam moved back as much as 115 and battled lineal world champion Juan Francisco Estrada. That one was for the vacant WBC junior bantamweight belt that previously belonged to Bam. Rodriguez won the fight with a7th round knockout via a devastating body punch. Meanwhile, Guevara had his last fight back in May where he edged it out against Andrew Moloney, winning a 12 round split decision. That victory earned Guevara the mandatory spot that earned him the shot at Rodriguez.
