Ubisoft has shared a developer update for Star Wars Outlaws, and with it comes the news that Drew Rechner, a Massive Entertainment veteran whose credits include Associate Game Director for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2: Warlords of Recent York, is now the Creative Director for the sport, replacing Julian Gerighty. The news comes 17 days ahead of Star Wars Outlaws’ next major patch (Title Update 1.4) and Steam release, each of which might be launching on November 21 alongside the sport’s first story pack, Wild Card. See below for a portion of the letter that Rechner penned to players today, which guarantees improvements to combat, stealth, and more.
The primary key area of improvement to the sport is combat where we see an actual opportunity so as to add more depth and excitement to the experience, further rewarding your tactics and precision. Our second key area is stealth which will not be only about improving the readability and consistency of enemy detection, but additionally providing selection in how you must approach each encounter. Finally, our third key area of focus is centered across the character controls, which suggests improving the reliability of canopy, increasing the responsiveness of climbing and crouching, and usually improving the consistency of the controls overall.
As said by Drew, we’re hard at working to bring you a lot requested changes to Title Update 1.4, which might be our biggest update yet, coming your way on November twenty first!
