The Sabarmati Report starring Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna and more was the one Bollywood film that released in theatres this week. The Dheeraj Sarna directorial saw a spike by way of box office numbers on Day 2.
As per Sacnilk.com, The Sabarmati Report witnessed a spike in box office numbers as of Saturday. The film reportedly earned Rs 2 crore after opening at Rs 1.25 crore on Friday.
The earnings from the opening are higher than his previous film twelfth Fail which opened at Rs 1.1 crore. Nonetheless, the Day 2 earnings of The Sabarmati Report are much lower than the Vidhu Vinod Chopra directorial which raked in 2.51 crore on Day 2.Â
The Sabarmati Report is predicated on the true events of the burning of the Sabarmati Express in Godhra in 2002. The film follows journalists as they uncover the story behind the tragedy.
