Fans had high expectations when AEW signed former NWA Women’s World Champion Kamille, who drew interest from WWE in 2024.
Kamille made her AEW debut in July because the bodyguard for TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. Following her debut, she participated in a limited variety of matches.
In November, Kamille split from Mone and was faraway from AEW television after an attack, resulting in speculation that the storyline was abandoned.
In response to a report from Fightful, “She’s under contract, but I’ve not heard anything regarding her on-screen future since shortly after she ‘quit’ working for Mercedes. There have been some internally that wanted the 2 to blow off the partnership with a match, however it didn’t find yourself happening.”
During an interview with CovalentTV in December, Kamille expressed her desire to win a title in AEW, noting that fans had yet to see her true potential.
