Your door was at all times open—rarely locked (my home before this literally didn’t have a key for 12 years lol), just an area where family and friends were at all times welcome. From sofas to the rock room, upstairs, downstairs, upper home, lower home, art studio, beautiful pool, you were rarely empty, at all times stuffed with company, warmth, and joy,” Lane wrote.

“Losing this home has been heartbreaking, especially all of the sentimentals I held so dear. In case you know me, how much I treasure every little thing that brought a smile. My heart aches for J and his artwork, rare books, awards, and amazing guitar collection, all full of care by David, Dami and Angelique, able to ship—now gone right away.”

She added, “This life is so fleeting and fragile, however the memories will remain eternally. Thanks to everyone who made this house a house especially Bams and Popples. It was at all times a spot of affection regardless of how complex and colourful at times, it became our protected space with big feelings at all times welcome/encouraged and no unkindness allowed and take twos if needed, and … will live in my heart eternally. What a house. What a house. What a life. My heart is heavy with sadness, yet so stuffed with gratitude and joy for all of the moments it gave us. Thankful beyond words 🐺🌄♥️🌊🕊️
