WWE star Karrion Kross’ presentation is somewhat of a callback to earlier eras where certain stars would have their character work be front-and-center of their presentation. Nonetheless, today many online fans are aware about most of the secrets pro wrestling hid for a long time, especially character work, and a few are even critical of it.
But, in line with Kross, there are still many secrets that professional wrestling fans haven’t discovered.
“Truthfully, like, we’re — I do not know, it’s 2024 [at the time], there’s a whole lot of behind-the-scenes in wrestling, so people have a fairly good idea of, like, what goes into the show,” Kross said during an appearance on “The Chazz Palminteri Show.” “There’s still quite a whole lot of magic we do not allow them to in on, but I’m, like, not about convoluting what it’s that folks are watching.”
Kross claimed that he never speaks to fans like they do not know what is going on on, but emphasized that no matter what they think, there’s still a whole lot of risk going into wrestling, and folks still get hurt on a regular basis. When asked about his persona, he explained that while he’s done several iterations of “Karrion Kross” over the past decade, he described it as a “devil’s advocate.”
“He’s kinda just like the guy that is in your shoulder, feeding your ego, but attempting to bring down your confidence — divide and conquer,” he explained.
Kross noted how his character is deceptive and that he at all times goals to make his opponents weaker psychologically before the rest.
