You may try some highlights from the podcast below:

On whether he liked wrestling within the Royal Rumble: “To me it was a neater night because, you understand, you get within the ring and also you’re fighting with a bunch of men doing stuff. The one thing you had to recollect is when it was your time to exit and who you followed. After which just set something up with any person, and excessive you go.”

On wrestling 44 minutes within the 1990 Royal Rumble match: “It was a protracted time. And where it got exhausting is that you understand, after so many guys had been out and when it got right down to the last like, you understand, two or three of us, then you definately needed to do more — it was a bit more work. You realize what I’m saying? Because now the main target is on like three or 4 people.”

On whether it was true that he was hung over for the bout: “Yeah, that’s a possibility [laugh]. That’s why — after all my attitude was, ‘Ah, it’s the Royal Rumble. There’s going to be a bunch of men, I’m not going to have an entire lot to recollect, whatever.’ And when Pat Patterson got here as much as me and leaned over, he said, ‘Ted, I wouldn’t eat an excessive amount of if I were you.’ I said, ‘Why is that?’ He says, ‘Well, you’re going to be the primary guy in tonight and next to the last guy out. So that you’re going to be in there for about 30 or 40 minutes’… I suppose my reasoning [for getting drunk] was since it was the Royal Rumble.”
