Well, the free agent market in MMA is the most well liked it’s been for some time.
Some big names, including two former champions from major organizations, are not any longer under contract with their respective promotions and need to proceed their fighting careers elsewhere.
Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm has been granted her release from the UFC and is seeking to return to boxing while also continuing MMA. Former two-division Bellator champion Patricio Freire has also been granted his release and isn’t any longer with PFL. Lastly, Aaron Pico, a top contender at featherweight and thought of, at one point, as one of the best prospect in MMA, can be now not competing under the PFL banner.
