The Young and the Restless is understood for its love triangles, recent pairings, fan-favorite romances, surprising scandals, and unnecessary breakups. The last couple of months have seen the writers break up pairings of Sally Spectra and Adam Newman as well Billy Abbott and Chelsea Lawson.

With Sally and Billy together, Courtney Hope and Jason Thompson who portray the roles shared their thoughts on the pairing and in the event that they’ll last.

During a conversation with Swooon, the soap stars shared their experience working together and their characters dating each other. Jason revealed, “She’s probably the most playful, sweet, kind, actresses you’re ever going to work with, so it’s fun” which “makes the job that significantly better.” Courtney also praised her co-star and revealed that she respects him and his work lots.
She shared their process behind creating chemistry between their roles, “Right to start with, it’s all lovey dovey and it’s good and it’s fun, but we’re starting to search out these nuances of a little bit little bit of toying with one another, or a little bit little bit of pressing one another’s buttons.” Courtney described Sally and Billy as sort of similar with headstrong and passionate personalities.
“They’re in pursuit of the reality and what’s right. I believe that it may very well be very explosive in good and bad ways, and it may very well be fun,” she mused. Jason identified that Sally just isn’t trying to vary or correct Billy in any respect and the way they may also be playful and sexy with one another at different points of time.

He added, “I believe that’s ultimately what brings them together. It’s the spark of not knowing and the anticipation that it could go so some ways, because they’re each passionate people in whatever it’s,” he shared, stating that he feels they’ve numerous potential but soaps have ever-evolving storylines.
