On Friday morning, media reports were abuzz with news about Sonu Sood after Ludhiana court issued arrest warrant against the actor regarding a fraud of Rs. 10 lakhs. The Magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur claimed that Sood failed to look before the court to testify within the case despite multiple summons. Followed by the reports, the actor, who is kind of lively on social media, has reacted to the news insisting that his lawyers have responded to the identical.

Sonu Sood took to the social media platform X aka Twitter, wherein he has provided a clarification together with reacting to the news in regards to the next hearing within the matter being scheduled on February 10. “We want to make clear that the news circulating on social media platforms is extremely sensationalised. To place matters straight, we were summoned as a witness by the Honourable Court in a matter pertaining to a 3rd party to which we now have no association or affiliation. Our lawyers have responded and on tenth February 2025 we are going to give a press release that clarifies our non involvement within the matter,” the tweet read.
Sood went on to say how celebs are sometimes easily targeted in such situations and added, “We’re neither brand ambassadors nor are we associated in any way. That is only for unnecessary media attention to grab eyeballs. It is unhappy that celebs turn into soft targets. We are going to take strict motion on this matter.”

Coming to the case, as per current reports, a Ludhiana-based lawyer Rajesh Khanna had filed a case against a certain Mohit Shukla for cheating him with a fake Rijika coin investment scheme, as a result of which he incurred a lack of Rs. 10 lakhs. Followed by the allegations, Ludhiana court issued multiple summons to Sood. Nevertheless, the actor’s absence to testify prompted them to order Oshiwara Police Station in Mumbai to issue an arrest warrant against Sood.
