Seth Rollins thinks Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson still has at the least one match left in him.
At WrestleMania 40, Rollins teamed up with Cody Rhodes to face The Rock and Roman Reigns.
During a recent appearance on the “Maggie & Perloff” podcast, Rollins was asked whether The Rock could have one other in-ring run.
He said, “You get in there one time and you may think you may do a full schedule, but I don’t know if it’s as easy because it looks. You get in there, you do one, and also you go, ‘Okay, I can do that.’ He’s smart enough to know his days of doing it full-time has come and gone. Do I believe he can get in there and do yet one more or a pair more? Absolutely. He was in prime condition and able to go. He was a game opponent. For a man that hasn’t done it in ten years, that’s really hard. It’s like riding a motorbike, but it surely’s not one time. You should get in there and get your reps in to get your mind where it’s at. He was an incredible performer that night. He was capable of slip back into it. It was an honor for me to be within the ring with him. That’s a man who’s a Hall of Famer and a legend in our business. He’s on the Board of Directors now as well, so he’s continued to assist that side of the business. It was a fun ride getting in there and to have the option to stomp the crap out of The Rock.”
Cody Rhodes has drawn heavily from John Cena’s approach, so he feels uneasy about Cena’s retirement tour.
Cena began his retirement tour at WWE Royal Rumble 2025, and through a recent appearance on the “Theonemona” podcast, Rhodes explained why he isn’t desperate to be amongst Cena’s last challengers.
He said, “I believe when he announced he was retiring, quite a lot of guys jump to the road of ‘I would like to wrestle John,’ quite a lot of guys jump to the ‘I would like to do something with John,’ after all. I’m probably the one who didn’t hold his hand up and that’s just because John is every part to me and there’s been so many guys I’m a product of who I took slightly something from. Probably the most that I’ve taken from anybody ever can be from John, and that was from driving those few years with him, seeing how he did his interactions with fans, seeing how he would do important events … so once I hear ‘that is it,’ it’s still not fully for me. I don’t love ‘that is it.’”
