Tom Hanks, Amanda Seyfried and more stars haven’t been afraid to share the unique — and strange — items they’ve collected through the years.
Hanks is an avid collector of typewriters, a lot in order that he wrote a group of short stories about his affinity for the old-school writing system. The book which is titled Unusual Type, features 17 tales that revolve around a unique typewriter. While the novel focuses on typewriters, Hanks confessed that he didn’t use the classic device to jot down up the pages.
“I wrote notes and a number of pages on an actual typewriter. But come on, for the heavy duty work, it was laptop all the way in which,” he said in a February 2017 interview with Entertainment Weekly. “Typewriters are for private letters, for musings, for rambling stream-of-consciousness stamped-in-paper doodling.”
While Hanks’ collection of typewriters is exclusive, Seyfried’s selection in hobbies takes the cake. The actress has been candid through the years about her interest in taxidermy, which is the art of preserving an animal’s body by mounting (over an armature) or stuffing, for the aim of display or study.
Seyfried’s assortment of taxidermied animals includes an owl, miniature horse, miniature zebra, chick and a deer.

The actor chosen 35 of his 300 beloved machines to seem in an exhibit titled “A few of Tom’s Typewriters,” which runs until March 10 at The Church in Sag Harbor, Latest York.
“Each time you type something on a typewriter, it’s a one-of-a-kind murals,” the actor said of his appreciation for the relics. “They’re sensible combos of art and engineering.”

“When taxidermy is completed well, it’s a tremendous piece of art,” she said during a 2012 appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show. “I really like animals, and so they’re very easy to take care of after they’re dead.”
