It was a nightmare in Recent Orleans for the Kansas City Chiefs.
And fans at the moment are claiming that the NFL is trolling its best player.
It was a game to forget for Patrick Mahomes.
The three-time Super Bowl champion finished 21/32 for 257 yards and three touchdowns, with two interceptions (including a pick six).
A mediocre game by Mahomes’ standard, but on the surface, still an honest stat line.
The one problem is, many of the numbers Mahomes put up were late within the fourth quarter well after the sport was already decided.
He had a pedestrian 33 passing yards at halftime, which is the fifth-fewest ever in the primary half of a Super Bowl.
When Jalen Hurts found DeVonta Smith to place the Eagles up 34-0 within the third quarter, Mahomes was just 9/18 for 61 yards and two interceptions.
Nevertheless, the NFL tried to spin his performance in a more positive light, including the totality of your complete game, which is fair, albeit with none context.
The official NFL Youtube account, posted a highlight reel of the Kansas City franchise quarterback, with the title, ‘Patrick Mahomes best plays from 3-TD game vs. Eagles.’
That in fact makes it appear to be he put forth a robust and honest performance, but for anyone who watched the sport knows that simply wasn’t the case.
Mahomes struggled. Mightily.
Some are even arguing it to be the worst game of his profession.
And they’d have a great case.
Now fans are claiming the NFL is in on the joke by the title of the YouTube clip.
In spite of everything, the clip of Mahomes’ ‘highlight throws’ doesn’t even start until the Eagles are already up 34-0.
‘The highlight reel starting with a 34-0 rating is diabolical,’ one fan posted on X.
‘NFL is wild for posting this,’ one other fan added.

Fans continued to chime in:
‘How did I do know the false passing production could be highlighted’
‘He was literally stat-padding within the super bowl’
‘The casual box rating watchers gonna be glazing his garbage time stats’
It’s hard to knock the NFL for attempting to paint its biggest star’s performance on its biggest stage as an honest one.
Unfortunately for them, everyone has eyes.
