The 37-year-old right-handed batter crossed the 11000-run mark within the 261st inning of his 269th ODI match for Men in Blue, which is currently underway at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai against Bangladesh.

Kohli, who has 13,963 runs to his name in 297 ODIs played to date, crossed the 11,000 run mark in ODIs during his 222nd innings of the 230th match played against Pakistan in Manchester on June 16, 2019.

If India manage to beat Bangladesh in Dubai, then Rohit will turn out to be the fourth Indian captain after Mohammad Azharuddin, MS Dhoni, and Virat Kohli to win 100 international matches. India has won 99 out of 137 matches played to date across formats under Rohit’s leadership.

Kohli, who will come out to bat at No. 3, will even have a probability to create history. The previous India captain will turn out to be the fastest batter on this planet to attain 14,000 runs in ODI cricket if he scores not less than 37 runs in Dubai on Thursday.
