Liverpool can set an enormous title marker within the Premier League this weekend as they travel to face reigning champions Manchester City on Sunday.

Arne Slot’s side currently sit eight points clear of Arsenal at the highest of the Premier League but have now played one game greater than Mikel Arteta’s side, who host West Ham on the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Elsewhere within the Premier League, Chelsea have to bounce back following their 3-0 defeat to Brighton last weekend but they face one other tricky away trip on Saturday as they play Aston Villa.

High flying Nottingham Forest sit third within the Premier League after they were beaten by Fulham last outing and so they will likely be seeking to get back on course away to Newcastle United, who even have ambitions of securing a spot in next season’s Champions League.

Manchester United’s dismal season continued last weekend with a defeat at Tottenham and David Moyes will likely be aiming so as to add further misery to his former club as Everton host Ruben Amorim’s side at Goodison Park in Saturday’s 12.30pm kick-off.

Everton v Manchester United

The shape that Everton are in, with the best way that David Moyes has got them playing, I’d think that Everton will win this game. They’ll be right up for it and so they’ll want to offer Man United a tricky afternoon at Goodison Park, which I feel they may. Prediction: Everton win

Fulham v Crystal Palace

This game is a tricky one to call. They’re two decent teams and are in form as well, but I feel that Fulham will edge it just. Prediction: Fulham win

Ipswich v Tottenham

Ipswich beat them earlier within the season and I’m still not convinced that Spurs are anywhere near where they must be, so I’m going to go for a draw on this return fixture.

I feel that Ipswich can have loads of belief and confidence from the primary game, but it surely’s still two teams which might be struggling.

It was an enormous win for Spurs against United, but it surely wasn’t inspiring. From their perspective, it’s not how they won but the very fact they did get the three points – but I’m still not convinced. Prediction: Draw

Leicester City v Brentford

Brentford are a very good team away from home and they’re going to have an excessive amount of in attacking positions for Leicester. Prediction: Brentford win

Southampton v Brighton

Brighton away win for me – Southampton have been dreadful and Brighton got a superb win last weekend against Chelsea. Prediction: Brighton win

Arsenal v West Ham

I do know that they’re lacking in forward positions, but I feel they need to start with Mikel Merino up front. The best way he scored his two goals last week, he looked a natural.

For West Ham, it was a poor result last week. They’ll need to bounce back, but I’m unsure that they may have enough about them to beat Arsenal on the Emirates this week. Prediction: Arsenal win

Bournemouth v Wolves

I feel Bournemouth can have an excessive amount of for Wolves – they’re having an unbelievable season and have gotten some really good players.

They’ve also got a manager in Andoni Iraola who’s having an incredible time of it, and will likely be up for manager of the season if he gets Bournemouth in the highest 4. Prediction: Bournemouth win

Aston Villa v Chelsea

It’s one other big game for Aston Villa, but they’ll play a Chelsea team who were rotten of their last game against Brighton.

I actually have said that Chelsea could still finish anywhere between fourth and ninth, and likewise that after they’re out of cup competitions it could get harder for Enzo Maresca to administer. I feel that’s proven to be the case.

With Villa at home they may win. Prediction: Aston Villa win

Newcastle United v Nottingham Forest

It’s a very tough one to call. I feel that each teams were disappointing last weekend, with Forest beaten by Fulham.

Newcastle were battered in an awful performance, their worst of the season and perhaps even their worst under Eddie Howe. They need to bounce back from that, but I’m very wary of the threat that Forest will pose.

Chris Wood scored a hat-trick last season at St James’s Park as well, but I’m still going to go for Newcastle to bounce back with a house win. Prediction: Newcastle United win

Liverpool FC v Wolverhampton Wanderers FC - Premier League

Man City v Liverpool

This can be a tough game to call. I feel that if John Stones is injured and likewise Erling Haaland then I’m not convinced City can bounce back.

They battered Newcastle and rightly so, but I still think that they’ve got big issues in that team defensively, so I’m going to go for an away win to Liverpool.

I do know Liverpool are freely giving probabilities as well, they’re giving teams just a little little bit of hope, so I do think that Man City may rating.

But I just think that Man City, with the best way they’re defensively, Liverpool will rating more. Prediction: Liverpool win
