– Unbeaten light welterweight Ziyad Almaayouf (7-0-1, KO) schooled journeyman Jonatas Rodrigo Gomes de Oliveira (6-21, 5 KOs), winning a simple six-round points decision. The referee, Howard Foster, scored it 60-54 for Almaayouf.

WBO interim Joseph Parker (35-3, 23 KOs) is facing his alternative opponent Martin Bakole (21-1, 16 KOs), on two days’ notice, and he can have to adapt on the fly. Parker has the advantage of attending an entire training camp for this fight. Bakole hasn’t been in camp and weighed unofficially at 315 lbs today, his profession high.
WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson defends against his alternative opponent, Josh Padley. Turki Alalshikh left this fight high on the cardboard despite it being a alternative opponent.

IBF, WBA, WBC, and WBO 175-lb champion Beterbiev (21-0, 20 KOs) and challenger Bivol (23-1, 12 KOs) insist that they’ll improve from their previous fight. Each looked like they were maxed out, and it’s difficult to assume either making any recent changes. Beterbiev is coming into this fight healthy, and that could possibly be the difference.
