A young girl became trapped underneath rubble when a shopping centre collapsed in Peru, killing at the very least 4 and injuring dozens.

The brave girl captured the fear underneath tonnes of rubble that fell on unassuming families having fun with their Friday on the Real Plaza shopping centre in Trujillo when its roof collapsed.

4 people have now been confirmed dead and 79 others injured after the incident at about 8.40pm yesterday. Rescuers try to achieve survivors trapped in a heap of bent metal and heavy rubble.

Certainly one of the trapped people was a young girl, whose identity isn’t yet known.

She might be heard saying with a trembling voice ‘it’s not a shooting, I’m trapped,’ with commotion on the background and her face barely visible at the hours of darkness within the haunting clip.

Despite her ordeal, she managed to remain calm and her video clip quickly spread online.

It isn’t known who she was with on the Real Plaza and what happened to them.

Desperate families are also continuing to look their family members who’re still inside and at hospitals after the collapse which caught children at an indoor playground.

Yuri Carvajal was trying to find her cousin, Harumi Carbajal Velázquez, 25, and her boyfriend. She was told the pair might have been killed.

‘We haven’t had any details about her. They told us that her cellphone is dead, but we don’t know if it’s true. That’s all we’ve received,’ she told Infobae.

The rescue efforts have reportedly been hampered by lack of resources.

Greater than 300 shoppers were contained in the centre when the roof suddenly got here down and fear for the survivors is growing the longer it takes to tug them out.

While the precise reason for the collapse is under investigation, some have speculated it could have crashed down attributable to water overload following heavy rain on Peru’s northern coast.

There are regarded as protests in the realm as relatives and residents call for a faster emergency response.
