Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi is ready to dazzle audiences with a special dance number cameo in Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming gangster thriller Maalik. The news has sparked excitement amongst fans eagerly awaiting the film’s release on June 20 this 12 months. As per the most recent buzz, Huma wrapped up shooting in last November for her cameo in Maalik, a movie directed by Pulkit and produced by Kumar Taurani under Suggestions Movies and Jay Shewakramani’s Northern Lights Movies.

A report by Mid-Day quoted a source saying, “Within the sequence, Rajkummar’s character and his gang get a tip-off that the person they’re on the lookout for is at an area bar. They head to the bar for an in-and-out job. That’s where Huma is seen performing.” Elaborating it further, the source added, “The choreographer has designed it as a raw and earthy dance number, along the lines of ‘Chikni Chameli’ from Agneepath [2012]. Maalik’s story relies in Allahabad and Lucknow. For the song, the set of a bar, as per those present in Lucknow, was built.”
Maalik marks Rajkummar Rao’s debut as a full-fledged gangster in an motion thriller, a departure from his recent comedic hits like Stree 2 and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. The film, which wrapped production in November 2024, follows Rao’s transformation from a ruffian to a feared underworld figure

As Maalik enters post-production, all eyes are on its June 20, 2025, release. The film’s first look, unveiled by Rao on his fortieth birthday in August 2024, showcased his rugged gangster persona, hinting at a raw and gripping storyline. Meanwhile, Huma Qureshi continues her busy streak with the fourth season of Maharani. Every week ago, the makers dropped the teaser. “From an uneducated homemaker to the Chief Minister who dares to shake the system, battling power struggles, betrayals, and political warfare reaching recent heights, this season guarantees to be probably the most gripping yet,” read a press release.
