CAINTA, Rizal — Mahleen Membrido of USBC won the Ladies’ Masters title within the ninth GMTBC ICS/Kwikprint Open Championship held Sunday on the Sta. Lucia East Bowling Center here.
Membrido began slow with a 125 scratch rating in the primary of the 7-game finals but rolled a 245 within the third game to propel her to the lead position. She finished the series strong with a 214 game, posting a complete rating of 1377 to bag the title.
Liza Zapanta of Sletba-GMTBC finished 1st runnerup with 1362, followed by Rica Ventura of PBA, 1336; Daphne Custodio of Sletba, 1332, and Tintin Robles of PTBA-Henrich, 1317.
Within the Men’s Senior finals on Saturday, Ben Williams of ACTBA led all of the approach to capture the crown.
Williams kept his poise and composure as he dodged the challenges posed by his rivals within the 8-game finals.
Williams posted a complete of 1783, followed by Joel Guevarra of PBA with 1730, Eljeor Saddoy of DATBI with 1690, Charles Calamba of Sletba-GMTBC with 1675, and Jun Monakil of Sletba, 1659.
The opposite finalists put up a troublesome fight for a spot within the 2nd to fifth place, with changes going down after every game. But none of them ever got here near dislodging Williams from the highest spot.
