Conor McGregor slammed for ‘disgraceful’ behavior by boxing legend Chris Eubank

UFC superstar Conor McGregor was the goal of scathing criticism from boxing legend Chris Eubank after a recent incident went viral.

Conor McGregor‘s fighting return timeline stays foggy after withdrawing from his UFC comeback last 12 months and boxing talks with Logan Paul falling apart. Since suffering a devastating leg injury at UFC 264, McGregor’s public image has taken repeated hits for infractions outside of combat sports.

McGregor hasn’t fought in MMA since a TKO loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. He was alleged to return at UFC 303 last June against Michael Chandler before withdrawing because of injury, and a possible comeback is becoming more unlikely with each passing week.

While indefinitely on the fighting sidelines, McGregor has reignited his heated rivalry with Khabib Nurmagomedov from afar. McGregor has taken repeated personal shots at Nurmagomedov since their UFC 229 clash, and things took a turn for the more serious in the shape of a Nurmagomedov fan who trolled him in public.

In viral footage shared earlier this 12 months, McGregor got here face-to-face with a Khabib fan while on a walk, spitting within the fan’s face and threatening him. No charges were filed against McGregor in consequence of the incident.

Boxing legend slams Conor McGregor for spitting in Khabib fan’s face in viral incident

But while McGregor dodged a legal obstacle, boxing legend Chris Eubank believes McGregor exposed his true self by spitting within the face of the fan.

In a recent upload to his YouTube channel, Eubank eviserated McGregor, reversing years of praise on the previous two-division UFC champ.

“I don’t watch loads of news, but I saw [Conor McGregor] spat within the face of somebody who said something unkind to him,” Eubank said of McGregor. “Is that this what we’re? Is that this who we’re? Is that this what we’re going to show? I’m the massive guy from Ireland, I’m the Celtic warrior, and also you spit within the face of a stranger…that is the instance you’re teaching the youth in Ireland. That is disgraceful…

“We are able to’t do this. We have now to know the results of it. You’re turning your individual people, or individuals who love you due to your style…throwing a chair at a [bus], showing the madman that you simply are…I’ve checked out your behavior, you’re proving yourself to be what we knew is behind that style of behavior.”

Eubank’s comments are especially striking given his previous praise of McGregor in recent times. He’s called McGregor one in all Ireland’s most significant figures and has praised McGregor’s accomplishments in MMA.

As of this writing, McGregor hasn’t responded to Eubank’s remarks.

Conor McGregor’s Irish heroism dwindled after he was booed at a recent Dublin concert

In light of recent events, McGregor was viciously booed while attending a concert in Dublin, Ireland, earlier this week. After a lead vocalist namedropped McGregor on stage, the previous two-division UFC champion didn’t get a positive reception from the gang.

But not all the pieces regarding McGregor’s current life and profession is negative. Joe Rogan and McGregor could potentially team up for a podcast episode in the longer term, as teased on McGregor’s social media.

The polarizing athlete was also the recent goal of KSI ahead of the influencer’s upcoming boxing match with Dillon Danis. Danis is a longtime teammate of McGregor’s, stemming from their time at SBG Ireland.

As fight fans proceed to attend for news about McGregor’s combat sports comeback, he continues to be a divisive figure around the globe. For Eubank, McGregor’s current path isn’t reversible without large-scale changes.
