Report – AEW Planning To Unify Two Titles

AEW is reportedly considering unifying two of its secondary men’s titles – the AEW International Championship and the AEW Continental Championship.

Fightful Select is reporting that multiple sources from AEW have indicated that this concept was pitched several months ago and was initially viewed as a solid creative plan.

There isn’t a clarity on who can be involved within the unification or whether the titles would remain separate or be rebranded as one unified championship. The choice to retire the FTW Championship in September of last 12 months was also a part of an effort to cut back the variety of titles in the corporate.

It’s currently unclear if current champions Kazuchika Okada (Continental Champion) or Kenny Omega (International Champion) will likely be involved within the unification process.
