AJ Cunningham dropped down two weight divisions

On March 2, 2024, AJ Cunningham made his UFC debut, fighting at lightweight and losing via first-round knockout following a brutal front body kick from Ľudovít Klein.

Realizing change was mandatory, the American headed back to the drafting board, and made a drastic decision.

In a bid to get the utmost out of his ability, the sportsman decided to chop down not one, but two weight-classes.

Nevertheless, while the thought was great, the execution couldn’t have been easy, with the athlete likely having pushed himself to his limit over the past few months.

But in a testament to his determination, he successfully made it right down to bantamweight.

Now, he has a good tougher task ahead, as tomorrow night he’ll go toe-to-toe with Su Young You, in a clash he simply can’t afford to lose.
