Roommates, we’re heartbroken to announce that boxing legend and entrepreneur George Foreman has passed away on Friday, March 21. TMZ reports that Foreman passed away on the age of 76.

Details On George Foreman’s Passing
George Foreman’s family confirmed his death in a heartfelt post on Instagram. His family members shared details about his legacy as a husband, father, and a proud grand and great-father within the post’s caption.
“Our hearts are broken. With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved George Edward Foreman Sr. who peacefully departed on March 21, 2025, surrounded by family members. A devout preacher, a faithful husband, a loving father, and a proud grand and great grandfather, he lived a life marked by unwavering faith, humility, and purpose.”
Moreover, Foreman’s family thanked fans for his or her outpouring support, but asked for privacy as they mourn his loss.
“We’re grateful for the outpouring of affection and prayers, and kindly ask for privacy as we honor the extraordinary lifetime of a person we were blessed to call our own,” Foreman’s family captioned their IG post.
George Foreman leaves behind his wife, Mary Joan Martelly, and his 12 children — five sons and 7 daughters.
