Not only did Jake Paul see Premier League darts superstar Gerwyn Price’s viral callout – but he actually responded to ‘The Iceman’ as well.
During an interview with TalkSport Darts before Night 2 of the Premier League in Glasgow last month, former world champion Gerwyn Price teased that he’d knock out Jake Paul in a single punch.
“That’s easy, I’ll stay up for that… He’d probably beat Canelo [Alvarez] but I don’t think he’d beat me… I believe it’d just be one punch, throughout.”
To the surprise of the broader darting world, including Price, not only did Jake Paul see the viral post but he also reached out to ‘The Iceman’ and hilariously accepted the Welshman’s challenge.

For readers who may not be well-versed within the darts scene, Gerwyn Price is the truest definition of an ‘entertainer’ – regularly clashing (and trolling) crowds while bringing his esteemed humorousness to the world stage.
He’s also a very well-built and muscular player; way more so than his competitors on the Premier League – having previously competed in each skilled Rugby League and Rugby Union.
Speaking again with TalkSport Darts ahead of his homecoming event in Cardiff last week, Price was asked whether he’d heard anything back from Paul’s team concerning the viral video.
“He’s seen it, [and] he’s messaged me. He wrote back to me and said – actually, I’ll show you the message when you want me to,” Price laughed, with the interviewer understandably stunned by the surprise link-up.
“I swear, [reads message] – “Come to Greece, man. Just name a price.”
Price admitted that he hadn’t responded to Paul’s DM, first joking that “I used to be a bit scared,” of the American before teasing “Nah I needed to get some training in early.”
Satirically, Price isn’t the one British sporting icon who has been called out by Paul in recent weeks, with former heavyweight king Anthony Joshua also finding himself within the firing line.
Gerwyn Price isn’t the one British icon to be called out by Paul
During a recent episode of his BW w/ Jake Paul podcast, ‘The Problem Child’ called out the Watford juggernaut and even predicted that he’d ‘beat Joshua’s a—‘.
“I would like to fight Anthony Joshua because I do know I’ll f—— beat Anthony Joshua’s a—. He doesn’t have a chin, and he has no skill, and he’s stiff.
“I really like you Anthony, and we’re friends. But I would like to fight you.”
The 2 reportedly facetimed one another after that podcast episode dropped, with Joshua then taking to Instagram to share a screenshot of the decision log.
Joshua tagged Paul directly with a one-word caption of “2026” alongside two fist emojis and a ‘shush’ emoji – which fans imagine is a cryptic tease of a possible throwdown with the YouTuber.
After suffering his first skilled defeat by the hands of Tommy Fury in 2023, Paul has gone on a five-fight winning streak that features victories over former UFC stars Nate Diaz and Mike Perry, in addition to former world champion boxer, Mike Tyson.
