Singer Sonu Nigam faced a troubling incident during his performance at Delhi Technological University’s (DTU) Engifest 2025. The event turned chaotic when some students hurled stones and bottles on the stage. Despite the disruption, Nigam remained composed and urged the audience to take care of respect.

Addressing the group, Sonu Nigam said, “Foremost aapke liye aaya hun yahan pe in order that we will all have an excellent time. I’m not asking you to not enjoy, but please aisa na kariye.”
Sonu Nigam’s request aimed to revive order and ensure the protection of those on stage. Nevertheless, the situation escalated when a few of his team members were injured within the chaos. With over one lakh attendees, the incident raised concerns about crowd control at large university festivals.
In February, Sonu Nigam faced one other crowd-related issue during his concert in Kolkata. The singer grew visibly frustrated when some audience members stood up during his performance. A video of him sternly instructing them to sit down down has gone viral on social media. Losing his patience, he was heard saying that if people desired to stand, they need to accomplish that at an election as an alternative.
A video circulating on Instagram captures a visibly frustrated Sonu Nigam scolding audience members who stood up and disrupted his performance. He expressed that the interruptions were affecting the flow of his show and wasting his time. Because the disruptions continued, his tone became more forceful while trying to regulate the group.
