Kylie Jenner and Jennifer Lopez paid their final respects to their late hairstylist, Jesus Guerrero, on Sunday, March 30.
People and TMZ reported that Jenner, 27, and Lopez, 55, were amongst family and friends who gathered in Houston, Texas, on Sunday for Guerrero’s funeral services following his unexpected death on the age of 34 last month.
Guerrero’s sister, Gris Guerrero, confirmed her brother’s death when she arrange a GoFundMe page to cover the celebrity hairstylist’s funeral costs on February 22.
“It’s with a heavy heart that we let the world know that Jesus Guerrero has gone to heaven. He’s a son, a brother, an uncle, an artist, a friend, and so way more,” Gris wrote via the GoFundMe page.
Following Jesus’ death, it was reported that Jenner had offered to cover all of her late friend’s funeral expenses.
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Gris praised Jenner and Lopez for supporting Jesus’ family following his death.
“[Jenner] has told us anything we want. Jesus was family to her, and he or she was family to him,” Gris told Us in an interview published February 25. “She has kept an open line. Anything we want, any questions we now have, she has been there for us. She wants his memory to be honored and desires to do as much as she will be able to so he gets the farewell he deserves.”
Lopez also reached out and “talked us through all the pieces that she could, together with others that were there,” Gris added.

Gris told Us that there have been many “unanswered questions” regarding her brother’s death, and “it might take a while to properly have something for him.”
“We’re getting some help, but it surely is a waiting game for everybody to do what they will to get answers,” she said.
Gris said that her brother had been within the hospital for an unknown illness on the time of his death. “We have now been capable of track every considered one of his steps, but we don’t know what got him sick or what was [the] sickness,” she said. “All of it happened suddenly and nobody knows why.”
Jenner paid tribute to Jesus via her Instagram on February 25, describing him as “greater than my friend.”
“He was a lightweight in my life, a source of laughter, comfort, love, and unwavering support. I don’t understand how I’d have made it through the last almost decade without him by my side. He had a way of constructing even the heaviest days feel lighter,” Jenner wrote.
She continued, “Thanks, Jesus, for at all times being there for me, for lifting me up, for being my friend. The pain of losing you is just unbearable and that i don’t know tips on how to move forward without you but I do know great grief is born only of great love. and I loved you a lot. You were the most effective person, with a talent that was unmatched. a real artist. You inspired so many, and you mostly will.”
Lopez shared a photograph of Jesus in her own Instagram tribute and wrote, “It’s no surprise your mother gave you the name Jesus. You were gentle and type and loving, quiet and unassuming, but so powerful, and your presence was felt the minute you walked into any room.”
“You never demanded the highlight. You never needed to make a sound to be recognized, your heart and your talent did that as effortlessly as your artistry did,” Lopez added.
